In June, AGMET participated in the well-attended Cleveland Metroparks 28th Annual “Safety Day at the Zoo” which was sponsored by the Greater Cleveland Safety Council.
Along with other Greater Cleveland Safety Council members and friends in attendance, AGMET’s Environmental, Health & Safety and Marketing teams promoted safety, good health, and protecting the environment.
AGMET recognizes the importance of educating the community on health and safety topics as well as protecting the environment. So, their team was thrilled to have the opportunity to educate youth on personal protective equipment (PPE), at home and in the workplace, as well as promote and educate all attendees on how AGMET is a key player in environmental protection.
Throughout the day, AGMET made it fun for the younger attendees to try-on different types of (PPE) and to test their knowledge of general health, safety and sustainability. All ages learned how AGMET eliminates industrial by-products, improves recycling rates, and uses best management practices to reduce wastes that may have otherwise ended up in a landfill.
The Greater Cleveland Safety Council (GCSC) is a community-based organization that promotes safety and prevents injury in the workplace, at home, in schools, and on the highways. Whether at work or play, GCSC safety council works hard to make the Greater Cleveland Area a safer place to live & work.
